So, the restaurant and the payphone are probably the only two things of importance to a cyclist (either racer or tourer). Otherwise, I don't think it really qualifies as a town.

Also of note about Horca is that it is located at the bottom of the climb up to La Manga pass. Fortunately it is all pavement and graded for big trucks. Thus the switchbacks and 3-5% grade. It's a climb nonetheless, but nothing like the 8-10% average grades on the GDMBR.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11085684938294494722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-658845177991516593.post-39648512995688133292008-07-05T12:47:00.000-06:002008-07-05T12:47:00.000-06:00Thanks for that- none of the maps we have here sho...Thanks for that- none of the maps we have here show it.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09005693888871912642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-658845177991516593.post-70368180198541977722008-07-04T22:45:00.000-06:002008-07-04T22:45:00.000-06:00It is probably Horca, Colorado, which is about 20 ...It is probably Horca, Colorado, which is about 20 miles south of Platoro.
