This is the 12 day cut off. Simon had to reach here by noon Wednesday 2 July.
He's done 2,124 km so far and has 1,876 km to go - he's passed half way! He's also climbed 25,298 meters which leaves him with "only" 24,993 meters still to climb.
Steamboat Springs ("Ski Town USA") looks like it might be a real town - population: 9,815.

Well, Simon, Sartah and Paul, I guess you won't be surprised that the first thing I do when I get to work is open up the site to see how Simon is going. It has become very exciting, especially now that the halfway mark has been passed. We are thinking about you round the clock, cheered by the buoyant sound of your voice, Simon. There is a little bit of all of us travelling with you, and we are very proud. Go hard!
